The fold is the top part of your webpage that visitors see before they scroll down. This my lovies, is where you tell your customer how their life is going to change if they buy your thing.
Hook ‘em at the top with something memorable and relatable and they’re gonna keep scrolling to your other goodies.

Consider the last thing you bought that delighted you. Why did it make you feel that way? How did it make your life radder?
- Now, think about what you’re offering
- Apply the above thought process to that thing
- Boil it down to a concise, digestible message that speaks like your customer.
This works especially well for landing pages, where you should be giving readers super strong reasons to buy and plenty of opportunity to do it.
Of course, amazing web design and UX help, but if you can get the message right above the fold, you just might have a shot at getting your customers to stick around.
